A restaurant owner and his team have expressed delight after they were announced as finalists for the Bolton News Best Curry House Awards 2024.
The Pavilion Restaurant in Astley Bridge is no stranger to winning awards, having won the “Best Restaurant” category at this year’s Curry Life Awards.
The restaurant has been serving loyal customers for 27 years – cooking quality dishes with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Restaurant owner Abdul Hannan said: “We’re delighted to be nominated for the Bolton News Best Curry House Award, it’s so positive to see takeaways such as us getting the recognition they deserve.
“I hope that this award will help put Bolton on the map and bring people together in order to create communities.”

The Pavilion offers guests authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist including a variety of Tandoori specialities, including lamb tikka, chicken tikka both lightly spiced with herbs and barbecued over flaming charcoal, chicken Indiana which is marinated in yogurt with mint and mustard.
There’s also a selection of Biryani dishes on offer with well fried onion cooked with basmati rice and a little spice, dressed in an omelette, tomatoes on top and mixed vegetable curry.
The venue offers a selection of eight fish speciality dishes including Surma fish cooked with beans in a rich sauce, Sylhet fish, which is fried and cooked with potatoes, fish jalfraizi, which is cooked with fresh green chillis, capsicum, ginger tomatoes and fresh Indian herbs.
A range of English and continental dishes are also available such as chicken fillet, omelette, sirloin steak, chicken salad and fried scampi.
The Pavilion is open seven days a week from 3pm – 10pm.
