A well established and well-loved restaurant is in the running for the Bolton News’ Best Curry House Award for 2024.

The Royal Balti House on Market Street in Farnworth is one of 10 curry houses from all around the borough to have made the final short list.

The Farnworth restaurant has been running for decades and is appealing for long established customers to show their support.

Owner Atikur Sabur said: “We’ve been around for many years, we’re one of the oldest in Bolton.

“We’re a small family run business and we take care of all the small details to make sure we get things absolutely right in terms of food.

Mr Sabur said: “Without our customers we wouldn’t be where we are today so we’re really thankful to them.

“We’ve seen four generations, grandparents with grandchildren and we make sure they all have a great experience with great quality food.”

Voting for Bolton’s favourite curry house will start from Monday October 28 and continue over the following 12 days.

The winner will be announced soon after.
