'The third most haunted house in Britain' is inviting people to its ghost tours.
Thrill-seekers are invited to the haunted Hoghton Tower in Lancashire for its Autumn Ghost Tours starting on October 25.
The historic house, said to be 'the third most haunted in the UK', will take people on a journey through its halls.
Silent torchbearers will guide people around the house as they listen to tales of 'spectres from a bygone era' and 'ghostly happenings'.
Tourists will be able to venture into underground passages, where they might hear the 'footsteps of long-gone souls' echoing alongside their own.
People should keep their eyes peeled for the 'infamous black dog' haunting the Well House and 'Angry Peter.'
Each ghost tour experience includes a two-course meal, featuring either meat and potato pie or a vegetarian butter pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding in butterscotch sauce.
The tours are available on selected dates: October 25, 26, 31, and November 1, 2, 9, 15, and 16.
Doors open at 5.30pm, with dinner served at 6pm, before the tour begins.
Pre-booking is required to secure a place.
Hoghton Tower is a 16th-century fortified manor house and the ancestral home of the de Hoghton family, who still live on the estate.
The tower has welcomed illustrious visitors for centuries, including kings and queens, William Shakespeare, JMW Turner, and Charles Dickens.
