While town centres are forever changing, it’s no surprise that some of us get attached to our favourite shops, pubs and clubs.
When a place that holds memories for you closes, it can stir up some emotions but what if you had the chance to visit just one more time?
Pubs and clubs in Bolton have opened and closed over the years and whether you’ve enjoyed a pint or two with your mates or had a hangover-inducing night on the town, there are probably some you were sad to see go.
We asked Bolton News readers on Facebook which closed pubs and clubs they’d like to visit one more time if they could – here’s what they said.
Closed pubs and clubs Bolton locals would like to visit one more time
A huge response from locals meant there were a lot of pubs and clubs mentioned but some proved more popular than others.
Among the most popular was the Dog and Partridge, a pub in Bolton with one local saying: “This was an awesome pub one of my favourite pubs in town good beer and great live and open mike nights untill sadly it like many great little pubs in town was forced to close!”
Another simply named the pub and added a broken heart emoji.
The Hawthornes was another popular choice from locals as well as Lower Nags Head.
