No trams will operate this morning as a full network closure is implemented.
Work is taking pace to upgrade 'tech systems' across the full Metrolink network.
This means that from the start of service until 9am, no tram services will operate across all lines.
Following the closure, it will take some time for services to resume to normal, with a full timetable operating from approximately 10.30am.
Bus replacement services will not operate during this time and tram tickets won't be accepted on commercial buses.
Those using the Bury line are being further warned that there are additional works taking place.
After 9am, additional works will are taking placing on the Bury line and Rochdale line.
As a result, no tram service will operate between:
Bury - Crumpsall
Rochdale Railway Station - Rochdale Town Centre
Bus replacements will operate between the affected stops from 9am until end of service.
Service pattern from 9am
Piccadilly - Crumpsall
Altrincham - Etihad Campus
Ashton-under-Lyne - Eccles (via MediaCityUK)
Rochdale Railway Station - East Didsbury (via Exchange Square)
Manchester Airport - Victoria
Trafford Centre - Deansgate-Castlefield
Services will operate every 15 minutes.
