Bolton Mountain Rescue Team were called to farmland in Atherton this week after a fall from a horse.

The team were alerted by North West Ambulance Service with paramedics need assistance extricating the casualty.

Bolton Mountain Rescue receive funding for mental health aid

A spokesman for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team said: "Members were quickly on scene and, with the casualty in the ambulance, the incident was stood down."

Other recent incidents include helping a who was located next to Lower Rivington Reservoir. He had a painful ankle injury. Team members helped him get back to his own vehicle.

Members were called to help a mountain biker who had fallen near Turton. Colleagues at North West Ambulance Service had requested help to extricate the casualty.

Bolton Mountain Rescue depend on the donations to carry out their work.
