A huge emergency response attended the University of Bolton today after reports of a 'man on a roof'.
Police and fire services were at Deane Road following reports of a disturbance. And it emerged that a man had scrambled the roof of a university building.
Police were in attendance at 11am.
The man came down from the roof safely.
The University of Bolton’s Senate House was evacuated for about 30 minutes while emergency services were on the scene.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 11am this morning we were called to Deane Road to reports of a disturbance.
"It’s believed that a man got onto the roof of a building. Emergency services attended, and the man came down from the roof safely."
A spokesperson for the University of Bolton Group, Greater Manchester, said: "Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service attended an incident on the university campus.
"The incident is now over and at no time were any university students or staff in danger.
"We would like to thank the emergency services for their prompt action."
Emergency services left the scene before 1pm.
