POLICE have issued a warning following reports of a suspicious man in Leigh.
On Wednesday, October 16, Greater Manchester Police were contacted by a concerned member of the public to report a "suspicious" male who had been approaching lone females and loitering around them around Hope Street, not far from Leigh town centre.
The man is described as being around 6 foot 1, between 30 and 45 years old, thin build, and wearing a dark coloured thin coat with the hood up and dark blue jeans.
Posting a warning on social media, officers have urged the public to take care when going out as it is getting dark earlier, and if you have a phone ensure it is charged.
Officers added to always let someone know you are going out and to contact GMP on 101 to report any suspicious activity.
