Market Place was evacuated due to "an emergency" at the shopping centre today.
There was an alarm and an accompanying announcement at 1.45pm on Monday.
The shopping centre was evacuated and there were shoppers out on Corporation Street and some of the surrounding streets.
The accompanying announcement said it was due to "an emergency" but a spokesperson said there were "no issues to report".
The spokesperson said: "A tenant accidentally activated their in-store system. [There were] no issues to report."
Market Place was back open as of 2.05pm on Monday.
