Bolton Wanderers' charitable arm has been nominated at a prestigious regional awards again.
Bolton Wanderers in the Community (BWitC) could win in two categories at the North West Football Awards (NWFA).
The charity, which works closely with Wanderers to tackle disadvantage across the town, has been nominated for "Community Club of the Season – All Other Leagues (in association with the PFA)" and "Community Initiative of the Season – All Other Leagues (in association with the PFA)" for its outstanding work at the Sutton Community Centre.
The winners will be announced at the awards' dinner event on Monday, November 25.
Ben Lawton, deputy CEO of BWitC, said: “Having won Community Club of the Season – All other Leagues at last year’s NWFA, it is an honour to this year be nominated for not one but two awards.
"As a charity we work to ensure the best provisions for our participants, ensuring there is a community offer for all members of our community.
"This is a huge recognition and a thank you for the hard work our staff and volunteers put in to help support our local community working toward the common goal of a connected Bolton without disadvantage.”
BWitC has launched several exciting new provision and projects this year, delivering 28 projects across Bolton, targeting communities and individuals that experience the most inequalities.

Laura Wolfe of the NWFA said, “It has been another incredibly impressive year for our football clubs.
"Our North West clubs are truly at the heart of their communities and the standard of work and array of entries submitted in the community categories made the judges’ task of selecting this year’s winners extremely difficult.
“We are and always have been committed to supporting the amazing work going on in our football clubs, from grassroots through to Premier League and WSL, and celebrating our footballing heroes, both on and off the pitch, and this year will be no different.
“Our hosts again this year are Eilidh Barbour and Dion Dublin, both well-known faces across sports broadcasting, and we are so happy to have them on board again as key members of the NWFA family.”
