A borough owner who reportedly "failed to control his dogs" has been given a warning by the police. 

The action has been taken after the owner reportedly "left the dogs unsupervised in a public place", as well as failing to control them. 

The owner, who is from Kearsley, has been issued with a community protection warning, which outlines what action an offender is required to take or stop within a set time period.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bolton said: "Kearsley- this week PCSO Jackson issued a dog owner with a community protection warning in relation to failing to control his dogs and leaving them unsupervised in a public place.

"This action has been taken thanks to intelligence and information provided by the public.

"We will not tolerate owners who allow their pets to cause a nuisance and a danger to members of the public."
