A Bolton park's public toilets have been closed after the power was cut off due to works taking place at Rock Hall.
The toilets at Moses Gate Country Park had to “temporarily” shut following the electricity outage.
The facilities are set to reopen "as soon as possible".
A council spokesperson said: “The toilets at Moses Gate Park have had to be temporarily closed.
“This is because the power has been affected by essential works being carried out by an external contractor at the adjacent Rock Hall.
“The contractor is returning to the site to fix the problem, and the toilets will reopen as soon as possible.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.”
A spokesperson for Save Rock Hall said: “We have asked the council about the toilets being closed in the park.
“There is no power to them which is needed for the lights, and sensors that operate the water and hand dryer.
“They are likely to be closed for the rest of this week and possibly longer, but we will update you as soon as we know any more information.”
Cllr Sue Haworth, cabinet member for regulatory services and property, said: “Around a week ago, someone found both the lights and the hand dryers not working at the Moses Gate car park toilets.
"I am informed for health and safety reasons the toilets were then closed.
"Apologies that it looks like no notice went up at the time.
"I’m glad the council closed the toilets putting pubic safety first.
"I am informed that the electrics are shared between the Rock Hall building and these toilets.
"Many know that important full scale renovation works are going on at Rock Hall and the electrics are having to be dealt with currently.
"I will ask council officers, while this renovation project is going on, if there is any chance in providing a more independent supply of power for the park toilets.”
Moses Gate Country Park’s toilets were also closed last summer.
