An accountancy firm has been selected by a theatre to be its auditor and advisor.
Cowgills has been appointed by the Octagon Theatre in Bolton to take on this role.
The theatre reopened in May 2021 following a major redevelopment but was established in the 1960s.
Nilesh Modhvadia, partner at Cowgills, said: "As a firm with our roots firmly in Bolton, supporting and advising local businesses is what we do best.
"We have wanted to work with the Octagon for a number of years, so when they approached us to take on the role of auditors and advisors, we were delighted to engage with them.
"Due to our position in the market, we are able to advise the Octagon on a number of initiatives to ensure they get the best out of their business in addition to providing robust auditing services."
Roddy Gauld, chief executive at the Octagon, said: "Like Cowgills, the Octagon is rooted in Bolton and we firmly believe in championing and supporting local businesses.
"We wanted to work with a local, sizeable firm who could not only provide auditing services, but advice and support to ensure that we continue to grow and develop."
Cowgills was established in 1983 and earlier this year announced that it had become part of the Sumer Group, the UK's 'leading mid-market accountancy practice.'
The firm has two offices in Bolton, at Middlebrook and Chorley New Road, and further offices in Manchester and Liverpool and employs more than 220 people.
