A series of free events aims to inspire Bolton's business community.

Organised by Oxford Innovation, these initiatives are part of a broader strategy to establish Bolton as a key business centre in the north west.

The first event, 'Building and Sustaining Dynamic Teams for Business Growth,' is a full-day workshop scheduled for today( October 9).

It will be held at the Bolton Albert Halls from 9am to 5pm.

The workshop, led by growth and innovation consultant Naomi Timperley, is designed for leaders and entrepreneurs eager to develop and maintain effective teams.

Key topics will include building an employer brand, recruitment strategies, creating company culture, and managing hybrid teams.

A second event, 'Masterclass: Design Thinking and Creative Problem Solving in Business,' will take place on November 13 from 10am to 3pm at The Wellsprings, a new office and innovation centre.

This will also be led by Ms Timperley, and will focus on design thinking and its potential to change approaches towards problem-solving and innovative thinking.

The Wellsprings, which completed its regeneration in September 2024, is set to open later this year and will be managed by Oxford Innovation.

Nick Brushett, centre manager for The Wellsprings, said: "There’s considerable investment and regeneration happening in Bolton right now and it’s an exciting time for startups and entrepreneurs looking to start a new venture or level up an existing business in the town.

"These events from Oxford Innovation promise to inspire and inform the business community in Bolton, Greater Manchester and the North West, and are just the start of us building a vibrant network within the town."

As an operator of innovation centres across the UK and Ireland, Oxford Innovation provides businesses with advice, coaching, mentoring, and support in building 'vibrant business communities.'

The events are free to attend, but interested parties need to register.
