Police have arrested a driver after a car crashed into a tree - and a fight broke out with members of the public who dragged them out of the car.
The crash happened on Water street in Radcliffe this afternoon.
The motorist was arrested by police who attended just after noon.
Two male passengers of the vehicle, including the driver, were dragged out of the car by members of the public following the smash, police say.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers responded to reports of a road traffic incident on Water Street in Radcliffe this afternoon.
“A car hit a tree, and the two male occupants of the vehicle were dragged out of it by two members of the public. The vehicle occupants then started a fight with the two members of the public.
“The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a sample of breath. He remains in police custody.”
