Skipton Building Society has launched its annual community giving scheme, where people in Bolton can vote for three charities.
This year, the scheme is set to donate double the amount of last year, with £164,000 being shared between 246 charities across the UK.
Each of the 82 branches of the building society has selected three charities within 20 miles of the branch.
The charities were selected with the help of customers.
The three charities selected in Bolton are Bolton Adult Autism Support, Bolton Toy Library, and Bolton Hospice.
From Monday, October 7, customers at the Bolton branch will have the chance to vote for one of these three charities.
Voting will end on Friday, November 1.
The charities will be awarded the following amounts based on the votes they receive: £1,000 for first place, £600 for second place, and £400 for third place.
Abigail Wallbank, Skipton’s group social impact senior specialist, said: "At Skipton, we’re passionate about supporting the local communities where our members live and work.
"Doubling our donation amounts this year allows us to make an even greater difference to the local charities that mean so much to our customers.
"We’re proud to offer them the opportunity to have a direct say in where our funding goes and look forward to seeing the positive impact these donations will have in the Bolton area."
