THE M56 in Warrington has reopened following a police incident.
Traffic was being held and the motorway was closed between junction 10, Warrington, and junction 11, Runcorn last night, Friday.
This was after Cheshire Motorway Police declared a 'serious incident' had occurred on the carriageway.
Both directions were closed as emergency services attended to the scene.
However, National Highways confirmed that the carriageway at junction 10 has now reopened.
More details on the incident are yet to be confirmed.
The #M56 westbound at J10 #Warrington is now all open.
