School choirs and musical groups are invited to perform at Manchester Airport over the Christmas period.

They will entertain passengers in all three terminals and raise funds for their chosen charities and the airport's supported charities: Magic Breakfast, Medcare, The Children's Society, and Childflight.

This initiative, organised by the airport's education, community, and chaplaincy teams, aims to bring a 'festive atmosphere' to the airport.

Joanna Jackson, senior education and employment manager at Manchester Airport, said: "The airport has a special atmosphere over the Christmas period.

"Whether it’s people returning home to be reunited with their loved ones over the festive period or people heading out on exciting trips to Lapland or other winter getaways, there’s always a special feeling in the air.

"Our terminals will be suitably decorated but we want to add to that by inviting school choirs and local singing and musical groups in to perform for passengers and staff in our terminals."

Choirs and groups interested in performing can book slots on weekdays throughout December between 8am and 6pm.

To secure a slot, groups are asked to email the airport's chaplaincy team at thechaplaincy@manairport.co.uk, stating their preferred time, date, and chosen charity.
