The police helicopter was scrambled this evening to help officers in the fight against drug dealing in Farnworth and Over Hulton.
Officers followed a scooter after seeing what they understood to be drug dealing going on.
A spokesman for GMP Bolton said:” After being seen drug dealing on Plodder Lane, PCSOs Ratcliffe and Cucos have followed the driver of this scooter with the help of the police helicopter that was flying past. “
”The scooter has been recovered forensically and further enquires are now ongoing to locate the driver.”
Drugs on the streets of Bolton is a huge concern among residents.
Mothers have reported spoken about how their children are being targeted by drugs dealers as they made an impassioned plea for something to be done.
Police have previously urged residents to report suspicious goings-on, including car registrations.
