A man was arrested on suspicion of public order offences outside Bolton Market this morning (October 2).

The incident was in the area of the junction of Black Horse Street and Great Moor Street at around 8am.

A police car and two police vans were in attendance and a man was arrested on suspicion of public order offences outside the market.

It is understood it was a result of reports of threats towards at least one member of the public but no member of the public was harmed.
