Bessy Brook at Lostock, is under an official warning according to Gov.uk, meaning flooding is expected for the area near Lostock Primary School.

"Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Bessy Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties along Sudbury Drive and parts of Rumworth Road and Regent Road.
"We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
"Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
"Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water."
Flood alerts have been issued for parts of the A666 near Bolton town centre.
Tudor Avenue, near Bolton School, and Gilnow Road, near Gilnow Primary School, are also under alert, as well as many other areas in the borough.
It's important to note a flood alert differs from a flood warning, as it means flooding is possible, not expected.
A spokesperson for Bolton Council said regarding the conditions: “All reports of flooding on the roads have been attended to.
“We do advise people to take extra care and drive to the conditions.”
