Whether you go for a wander and a bit of fresh air or you’re trying to find something specific, there are endless purchase opportunities at a car boot sale.

Location: Bolton Wanderers Football Stadium, BL6 6JW

Next car boot sale: Sunday, September 29

This car boot sale is open until December with the next one scheduled for this weekend – September 29.

The car boot sale is open weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays so that’s plenty of opportunity to find some second-hand hidden gems. It’s important to note though that there will be no car boot sale on Sunday, October 6 or Sunday, November 3.

On Wednesdays, sellers can arrive for 10am with any vehicle costing £10 to sell and buyers can arrive from 11am with parking available from £1.

On Sundays, sellers can arrive from 5.30am and it’ll cost £14 for cars and £20 for vans. Buyers can arrive from 7am and park from £1.

Norcross Car Boot

Location: FY5 3DE

If you want to travel a bit further afield for your next car boot, you can visit Norcross Car Boot in Thornton-Cleveleys – just under an hour’s drive from Bolton.

This weekend, it is open both days – Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.

You can visit this car boot every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday plus on bank holiday Mondays, according to its Facebook page.

You can expect plenty of stalls at this car boot but you can’t bring you dog with you unless you are a seller, then your dog can sit behind your stall with you.

If you get peckish, you can visit the food vans and doughuts, ice cream and artisan stalls are open plus a butcher is there on Sundays.

Sellers can arrive from 6.30am - £10 car, £16 van, £20 luton, trailers £2-£4 extra.

Buyers can arrive from 7.30am and it costs 50p for adults and kids can enter free.

On a Wednesday, it costs £10 for all seller stalls with gates opening at 10am for sellers and 11am for buyers.

Jumble Sale at Mytholmroyd Community Centre

Location: HX7 5BJ

About an hour’s drive away from Bolton is the Mytholmroyd Community Centre jumble sale.

It will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 10am-1pm.

It costs £1 for entry and it’s said to have “loads of bargains”.

Clitheroe Car Boot

Location: Clitheroe Auction Mart on Lincoln Way, Clitheroe, BB7 1QD

This car boot is able to open in all weather conditions as it offers stalls inside and outside.

There are toilets, food and refreshments and parking at this car boot sale which takes place every Sunday but it will be closed on Sunday, October 6.

Sellers can arrive from 7am while buyers can arrive from 8am.

Location: Blakemere, Chester Road, Sandiway, Northwich CW8 2EB

This car boot is holding its final sale on Sunday, September 29.

Sellers can turn up from 6.30am and buyers can arrive from 7am.

Sellers can bring their cars for £7 or vans/trailers/cars parking sideways will cost £12.

This will go ahead if the weather allows and buyers who would like to enter early will be charged £5 however, those entering from 7am will be allowed in free of charge.
