A Bolton man has told of his rags-to-riches story, taking his business from the streets to the point where he occupies one of the most prominent buildings in town.
David Officer, aged 34, started his business, Car Clinic, over a decade ago. The business applies paint protection film to vehicles, in particular luxury ones.
Starting on the streets of Bolton, he soon moved the business to a premises on Shepherd Cross Street in Halliwell.
Now, David is taking over a prominent building on a busy town centre junction.
Car Clinic, which is certified by paint protection film brand XPEL, is moving into 1 Manchester Road, which is at the crossroads of Bradshawgate, Manchester Road, Trinity Street and Bridgeman Place.
David said: "This has been 12 years in the making for me. I started on the street corner valeting cars, we still have that side of the company running.
"This is a lad who used to be on an antisocial behaviour order, I'm a school drop out.
"I was working doing mobile valeting, now I am on the more prestige side of things doing paint protection film and working alongside Land Rover and BMW.

"You don't buy a £1000 iPhone and not buy a cover, just the same as you don't buy a £30k car without protecting its paint."
He added: "It's just through perseverance and not giving up on the dream, and this is the dream.
"Being at the top of the hill in regards to the company, we are here, it's time to maintain what we've done, the hard work has paid off.
"I used to go to training school and would be given 10 cars to clean, being paid £5 a car. Little did I know I would be doing this now."
David is originally from Belfast but has lived in Bolton for around 20 years.
