A salon owner is trying to see the positives after arriving to the shutters on her building had been broken.

Danielle Amos’s salon, on Chorley New Road, will be celebrating its ninth anniversary in December this year.

The 36-year-old, who has been hairdressing since she was 14, arrived to find the shutter damaged on the salon in the morning of Thursday, September 26.

On social media, many were worried about a potential break-in at the salon.

However, the salon was able to open as usual after help with repairs from a local company.

Speaking to The Bolton News, Danielle said: “It is a bit disappointing, but I just try to look at the positives in everything to be honest.

“We’re coming up for our nine-year anniversary in December, which is coming up soon – I’m excited about that.”

Danielle said she first found out about the damage through social media, and a local company was able to fix the shutters quickly, meaning the salon could open as usual.

The company has been successful enough that it is has now opened a new branch in Leeds.

Danielle said: “We’ve got a really good mix of clients, we have a really good relationship with them – and we get people who travel in from all over now.

“It’s not just locally – it’s Greater Manchester, we’ve just opened a salon in Leeds as well, so we’ve got a pull from all over the north west now, which is really exciting.”

Danielle Amos’s salon is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9.30am, closing at 6.30pm on Tuesday, 7pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 5.15pm on Saturdays.
