A three-vehicle crash occurred on Beaumont Road in Bolton this evening.

The incident occurred at 7.20pm on Sunday, 22 September and involved three vehicles.

An eyewitness said: "I had been behind a vehicle and one vehicle clipped the curb and crossed the carriageway and collided head on with another.

"Both vehicles ended up in the same carriageway."

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) were on the scene for around one hour and North West Ambulance (NWAS) were in attendance and took care of two people.

It’s unclear if any casualties were taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for GMFRS, said: “At just after 7.20pm on Sunday (September 22) two fire engines from Bolton Community Fire Station attended a crash involving three vehicles on Beaumont Road, Bolton.

“Firefighters assisted colleagues from North West Ambulance Service in the care of two people while making the scene safe. Crews were in attendance for around one hour.”

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and NWAS have been contacted for more information.
