A relaxing sound experience will be held at a church this week. 

Horwich National Spiritualist Church on Chorley New Road will hold a sound bath on Friday, September 20. 

The event, which is in collaboration with Moontree Holistic Healing Clinic, will "journey into deep relaxation".

A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves.

This event will bath participants in the sound and vibrations of gongs, Himalayan & crystal bowls, chimes, drums and other instruments. 

Yoga mats are provided but the organisers say any cushions or throws for comfort should be brought by participants. 

They advise the event is not suitable for anyone with a pacemaker or metal implants, sound sensitive conditions or who is epileptic, pregnant or under 14.
