A law firm has retained its membership of a scheme that marks it out as holding “the highest standards.”
This comes after Little Lever and Bury-based Clough & Willis remains part of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme for the 12th year running.
This is a quality standard set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority that sets out the expected standards of competence and risk management.
Clough & Willis head of residential property Lorraine Stratton-Webb said: "Excellence is at the very heart of Clough & Willis so it is fantastic to once again retain our CQS status.
“It marks us out as meeting the very highest of standards and we could not be prouder.
“I would also like to thank the whole team for their hard work as they are the ones who deliver for our clients every single day.”
The scheme also shows that firms can provide conveyancing advice at the expected level.
It also gives firms greater access to lender panels, with accreditation needed for lenders panels including Nationwide, HSBC UK, Metro Bank, Santander, Yorkshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank.

The scheme needs law firms name a senior responsible officer to take an exam before submitting their application for accreditation or reaccreditation every year.
Companies then undergo an initial strict assessment, compulsory training and random audits, while other obligations include having a register of plans and policies in place.
There also has to be a documented fraud risk assessment on every file along with enhanced requirements where there is a high risk of fraud.
