Police were called to threats involving weapons at a house in Breightmet.
Officers arrested a number of people following the disturbance on Saturday evening, (September 7).
Officers descended on Mobberley Road in Breightmet at around 6.50pm.
Five people were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences but have since been bailed.
Police say no weapons were found.
A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 6.50pm on Saturday 7 September, officers responded to reports of threats involving weapons at a house on Mobberley Road, Bolton.
"At the scene, officers quickly secured the arrests of five people under suspicion of drug offences.
"The five were subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.
"No weapons were found during a search of the property."
Locals said they saw a large police presence in the area, with officers searching the house.
Some reported armed police on the scene, although this has not bee confirmed by police.
Earlier this year, officers carried out police raid on the street in July this year.
Officers recovered "several weapons" from a house as they executed a warrant.
They blocked off the street, with numerous police vehicles on scene.
