Roald Dahl Day will be celebrated in Bolton with outdoor storytelling at Smithills Hall led by the Octagon Theatre.
Families can adventure through the grounds of Smithills Hall to discover the famous characters created by the author.
The event is suitable for under-5s and their parents/carers.
Sessions are at 12.30pm to 1.15pm and 1.30pm to 2.15pm.
It will take place on Friday, September 13.
Sessions are free and drop in, no need to book.
These story sessions are taking place outside, so those attending are urged to wear suitable clothing, such as wellies / coats, if the weather takes a turn on the day, the storytelling will take place inside the historic hall.
