It was most definitely a case of bubbles everywhere when a popular event returned to Queens Park.
The fun Bubble Rush attracted scores of families who had the most bublicious time running through colourful bubbles.
Hundreds of participants of all ages found themselves covered head-to-toe in colourful bubbles while putting the fun into fundraising for Bolton Hospice..
The sold-out event saw participants walk, run, or dance their way through the 5k course, encountering different coloured vibrant bubble stations along the way.
In addition to the exhilarating bubble run, those who came to Queens Park were treated to a variety of fun activities and entertainment.
The event kicked off with an energetic warm-up led by Betti Worth, a local fitness enthusiast and Gladiators contestant who kept the crowd pumped up and ready to take on the bubbly challenge.
Special guests included the Mayor of Bolton, Andy Morgan, who joined the festivities and spoke about the importance of supporting local charities like Bolton Hospice. He also counted down to the moment participants ran headfirst into the foamy fun, making the start line extra special.

The event also featured face painting, bubble art, exciting games for all ages, and delicious refreshments to keep participants fuelled throughout the day.
"We are overwhelmed by the incredible turnout and enthusiasm at this year's Bubble Rush," said Angela Griffiths, fundraising manager at Bolton Hospice. "Thank you to every single person who took part, whether you walked, ran, or danced the course, or volunteered your time. Your participation not only created a truly incredible atmosphere, but will also make a significant difference to the lives of people facing life-limiting illnesses in our community.
“We’d like to extend our thanks as well to our Gold Sponsor Stateside Foods and Finish Line Sponsor Carrs Pasties, as well as to everyone who donated their services for free or who generously gifted us a raffle prize. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of local businesses, which means we can raise even more vital funds and be there for even more families when they need us most.”
As well as hundreds of local supporters, families travelled from all over the North West —and even further afield — to attend the Bubble Rush. Among those taking part were Bolton Hospice doctors Dr Ellie McCann and Dr Jenny Short, and nurses from across the hospice’s inpatient and Wellbeing Hub teams.
Participants were each encouraged to raise £20 in sponsorship, which could pay for an hour of compassionate nursing care at the hospice, but many supporters have far surpassed that initial fundraising target, each raising hundreds of pounds for Bolton Hospice.
Monies are still being collected and counted, but the Bubble Rush event is on track to be a huge success, thanks to the fantastic fundraising efforts of everyone who took park, and the generosity of their friends and family.
Bolton Hospice's Bubble Rush will return in 2025 for another fun- and bubble-filled day, with more details soon to be announced.
