A Bolton barbers which cares for people with additional needs is celebrating after it won an award.
Craig's Barber Shop on Tonge Moor Road has won the Best Local Salon at the Most Wanted national awards.
The salon, which has been running for six years, is known for its specialist services for non-verbal autistic and deaf clients.
Owner Craig Henderson is just as likely to be lying on the floor or walking around the shop while cutting hair as he is to be standing behind a chair.
Established in 2001 by leading trade Creative HEAD, for more than two decades Most Wanted has celebrated artistic talent, innovation and original thinking in the British and Irish hairdressing industries.
Its grand final was held on Monday, September 2, with more than 650 VIPs from hair, beauty, fashion, business and media turning out.
Craig said: "It's a massive achievement and still feels surreal. I am the best local salon in the country at the moment.
"It is unbelievable to get that accolade for a small barbershop from Bolton. It is one of the biggest ones in the industry.

"This is huge, it is ridiculously huge, even to be a finalist is an achievement. To go ahead and win it is out of this world.
"I went down, it was at the Beams in London. It was insane, the people in there are at the top of the industry, people with MBEs, it was just sensational meeting people who I have followed on social media most of my career.
He added: "Some were saying to me they had admired my work from a distance, it's nice they have been watching.
"It is nice to be appreciated by the industry and I am at the forefront of it, leading it in terms of accommodating people.
“You need to think of the sensory explosion that greets someone with additional needs when they enter your barbershop or salon. It’s like a grenade going off!
"I would like to thank my fiancé and my kids, without them this wouldn't be happening."
One of the judges described Craig as a "worthy winner" who is "building community outreach into every service, every day".
