Police are appealing for assistance from the public to trace the next of kin of a man who died at Royal Bolton Hospital.
John Geoffrey Howarth died at the hospital on Minerva Road on Tuesday, September 3 of this year.
Appealing for information about the next of kin of Mr Howarth in a post on social media this week GMP Bolton said there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 55-year-old.
In UK law, there is no definition of next of kin, but it is understood to be the closest relative, whether a partner, a parent, a child or a sibling.
Anyone with information about the next of kin of Mr Howarth is asked to contact Bolton's Police Coroner's Office on 0161 856 2300.
