Two Bolton businesses are on the latest list of businesses to pay a penalty of thousands of pounds for taking on workers with no right to work in the UK.

Th3 Guys Bakers and Baristas is to pay a total of £10,000 for the offence while Bolton Express Car Wash is to pay a total of £20,000 for the offence.

According to the website with the latest list of businesses the cafe, on Great Moor Street, and the car wash, on Weston Street, took on workers with no right to work in the UK. The penalties are from the first three months of this year.

The penalties are for employers who not do the correct checks at all or employers who do not do the correct checks properly according to the website.

The website said: "Your business's details may be published by Immigration Enforcement as a warning to other businesses not to employ illegal workers."

Th3 Guys Bakers and Baristas and Bolton Express Car Wash were asked to comment but both of the businesses said the employment of illegal workers was under old management and they are under new management as of this year.
