Roll up roll up - the circus is coming to town.
The popular Circus Mondao will be arriving into Bolton this week - after after to postpone its show in Julyy due to muddy fields.
Acts will set up the big top in Hunger Hill with the acts preparing to wow and dazzle audiences. There will also be funfair rides and refreshments on for all the family to enjoy from September 4 to September 15.
Led by ringmistress, Petra Jackson, the traditional family circus has been coming to the area for years 70 years.
Tasty food, soft drinks and wine, beer and cider will also be available for guests to purchase on-site.
Petra said: “We have been good friends with the owners of the land here in Bolton for over forty years.
“Mondao Circus has a great relationship with the community in Bolton and we love coming here to perform with acts for all the family.
"My uncle owns the Circus King which came to the same venue 30 or 40 years previous to that before we came here for the past 16 years.

“The circus was unfortunately postponed back in July because the fields were too muddy, and I know that this left a lot of people feeling frustrated.
“We’re excited to announce that we will be back with amazing acts like the trampoline, wheel of death, showgirls and much more for audiences.”
Petra, now 45, literally ran away to join the circus and has never looked back.
Spectacular feats, a funny clown, showgirls and talented artists are among the acts at what is billed as a 'traditional circus' which drawn on technology to create "amazing technical lighting effects, music and production".
But during lockdown, the circus fell on hard times, when restrictions forced closures of more than a year for much of the entertainment industry.
The circus will be in town for twelve days
Ticket prices fluctuate depending on seating but on Wednesday all seats at priced at £7.50. Tickets can only be purchased from the onsite office.
Discounts are available for blue light card holders.
Toilets are on-site as well as free parking.
