A Bolton restaurant  has been named best in the North West for its cuisine.

Ayaan’s, on Old Road in Astley Bridge, has won the “Best Asian Restaurant of the Year – North West” at the Asian Restaurant Awards 2024.

The glamorous award ceremony took place at the Hilton Hotel in Deansgate, Manchester with over 500 people in attendance and was presented by BBC News anchor Samantha Simmons.

The restaurant is known for its authentic Pakistani-Indian cuisine including sharing platters, sea food, grilled meats, traditional desi dishes and old school favourite dishes.

Owner Mohammed Jabir said: “It is a massive honour to receive this recognition for the title.

“We were up against five or six other restaurants from the Greater Manchester area but we remained confident that we are one of the best in the region.

“We have won two awards before, and this is our third award in the last three years that we’ve opened.

“We are confident in what we offer to our customers and hope that this will bring more footfall through and drive customers to the restaurant.

“It’s exciting and we hope this award will help to put our restaurant and Bolton on the map.”
