He was seen chatting and laughing with visitors of the festival throughout Saturday afternoon, even setting up his famous table in Bolton city centre to rate vendor’s produce.

Danny said: “Attending the festival was one of my highlights of the summer, rammed with food vendors from far and wide offering up some really tasty treats.

When Bolton's next artisan market will be in town

Rate My Takeaway has yet to reveal his full verdict of the festival, which eager fans speculate will be announced over the coming weeks.

Mayor of Bolton Cllr Andy Morgan said: "What an amazing weekend it turned out to be after the issues with the wind on Friday morning.

“Despite that people flocked to the festival favourites such as James Martin, Ainsley Harriot and Michael Caines along with new faces such as Rustie Lee, who had the audience in stitches at the Mayor’s Prosecco Picnic.

“And of course, there was social media influencer, Danny of Rate My Takeaway fame who I bumped into and who was absolutely overwhelmed by the huge variety of food and drink offerings, and it had to be said he did taste a few!

“The vibrant atmosphere filled with music and entertainment attracted large crowds, boosted local businesses but most importantly showed Bolton as a welcoming and friendly destination offering something for everyone whilst also bringing our communities together.

“I personally spoke to many stall holders and visitors alike, I cannot wait until next year.

Cllr Morgan was also coached by Dave Bagley MBE from Urban Outreach Bolton, a charity dedicated to tackling homelessness, in the art of making the “perfect omelette”.
