Shopaholics can bag themselves a carrier full of bargains at a store which stocks designer pieces.

Queues formed as Regenerage opened its superstore in Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park earlier this year - with the shop resembling more of a high-end fashion show than a charity store.

Now the store is to hold a special event for vintage and sustainable fashionistas — Regenerage’s first-ever 'Fill A Bag' event.

It will take place on Monday, September 16 from 6pm-8pm.

This event is designed to bring the community together in support of our older population while offering an enjoyable and unique shopping experience.

For just £10, shoppers will receive a ticket giving them access to the superstore, where they can fill a carrier bag (15” x 20”) with a wide array of items including, clothes, shoes, handbags etc from the sale area within the store.

Regenerage opens in Middlebrook with queues out the door

From clothing to household goods, books to bric-a-brac, there is bound to be something for everyone to discover and take home.

The proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit Regenerage’s initiatives to supporting older people in our community.

Bel Fry, director of retail at Regnerage said: "We are thrilled to be putting on such an exciting event in what is our flagship charity superstore at Middlebrook Retail Park.

"In March of this year we opened our first ever charity superstore, situated on the retail park in between Benson’s for Beds and Sofology, filling the almost 11,000 sq ft store with beautiful pre-loved items including furniture, to create a fabulously modern charity shopping experience.

"The store has to be seen to be believed. We cannot wait to welcome our regular and new customers to our ‘Fill a Bag’ event on 16th September from 6pm-8pm and intend for this to be a bi-annual event. Buying ‘pre-loved’ is fast becoming very popular amongst all age groups as more shoppers realise the value of sustainable shopping, not only to save money but also as a way of helping to save the planet. "

Tickets can be purchased in advance in person or over the telephone to our Middlebrook store on 01204 201389 or on the door on the day.

If a ticket is bought in one of the charity's shops, take your receipt along with you on the night as this is proof of purchase of a ticket.

Carrier bags measuring 20” x 15” will be provided on the night, giving you plenty of room to bag bargain finds.

Nothing can hang over or out of your carrier bag but those wanting to bag more bargains can always buy more carrier bags on the night.
