Vernon Kay is coming home bringing his hit show to Bolton.

The BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds show, Dance Sounds of the 90s is going live as the Horwich born Radio 2 presenter takes his show from the studio to his to the Albert Halls next month for a nostalgic trip back to the 90s dance floor and he’s bringing special guest, Warrington’s very own Legends DJ Darren Noguerol, along for the fun.

Vernon is hitting the road with a record box time machine taking audiences back to the heady, hedonistic days of house phones, Sega Megadrives and Sony Discmans… and raves in fields everywhere.

With the internet barely invented, the 90s brought us some of the greatest tunes of all time, from the Shamen to The Prodigy, Snap! To Underworld, JX to Ultra Nate and on and on and on – and they along with much more can be enjoyed at Dance Sounds of the 90s: The Live Tour with Vernon Kay.

Vernon hosts the iconic show on Radio 2 and BBC Sounds and he says he is buzzing to escape the shackles of the studio for some touring mischief, so dig out those classic rave outfits and prepare for lift off.

Vernon said: “The 90s was one of the best loved decades when it came to music, Britpop and dance music came together to create an energy that the youth of its time attached itself to and created mayhem on the dance floors.

"Now more than 30 years on, Britpop is still as energetic as it was and dance music has now come full circle with the kids of today hearing samples from the tunes that originally rocked dance floors back in the 1990s and it’s for that reason that we are taking Dance sounds of the 90s on the road, to play the greatest hits from the best decade of dance. So come and join me Vernon Kay for Dance Sounds of the 90s Live, I can guarantee you’ll be hard pressed to keep your hands by your side, rave on, see you there!”
