Police are appealing for information after a serious collision between a car and a heavy goods vehicle.
The collision took place on Fourmarts Road, Wigan, just before midnight yesterday.
The driver of the car, a Vauxhall Astra, sustained serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
He is in his twenties.
The fire service has also released an image of the crash.
The picture shows extensive damage to the driver's side of the vehicle with the door having been taken off.
A police spokesperson said: "GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are now asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to get in touch.
"This includes any relevant dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from approximately 11.55pm – midnight last night.
"Officers can be contacted via 101 or gmp.police.uk, quoting log 3739 of 22/08/24.
"Alternatively, the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111."
