Each week we pick a pub to highlight what makes hospitality in our area so special.

This week we have chosen to focus on The Grey Man in Daisy Hill, Westhoughton.

The pub recently reopened and is hoping to be a place for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Tina Brown.

How long have you been a landlady for:

18 years, I was previously at The Banner, Hindley. I found out two weeks before it reopened that I was coming here.

What is the best thing about being a landlady?

Meeting new faces.

What is the most challenging thing?

What I want to do is make it a community, a place where families can come and it can feel it is an extension of their own home.

What are your most popular drinks?

Gins, Cruzcampo and Fosters.

Do you serve food?

No but people can bring in their own food.

Do you have a beer garden?

Yes, we also have an outdoor area, it is like a little park so people can be with their children.

What else do you offer?

We have live sports, a pool table, we have got a dart board, we are doing live music at the weekend, a speed quiz on Wednesdays, free pool on Thursdays, thejuke box is free on a Friday.

We have got amazing graffiti art outside.

How has it been since you started?

I have loved it.

Everyone has been so welcoming, that was my worry, but everyone has been amazing.

One young woman came in and said she was an artist, she had drawn the pub and framed it.
