A Bolton pupil achieved top GCSE results despite having to battle through pneumonia just days before sitting her exams.
Bolton School pupil Elise Brown's results were an amazing five 9s, three 8s and three 7s.
She said: "I felt it went well, I actually had pneumonia two weeks before my GCSEs, so I was really nervous that I wouldn't do well.
"But then I feel it went well, I made sure did a lot of revision.
"For my A-levels I want to take maths, further maths, physics and chemistry at Bolton School."
Elise aspires to be an aerospace engineer, with her eyes set on a degree apprenticeship after her A-levels.
