A number of people from Bolton have recently appeared before the courts.

Magistrates have dealt with a number of offences including fraud, assault on an emergency worker and possession of a knife in public.

Here are the people who have recently been in court.

Robert Kirkpatrick had a Stanley knife on Calder Street, Padiham, Burnley, in April this year.

The 48-year-old admitted the offence at Blackburn Magistrates Court.

Following this Kirkpatrick, from Masefield Drive, Farnworth, was given a sentence of 26 weeks suspended for 18 months.

The court rules here was a “realistic prospect of rehabilitation.”

He was placed on a drug rehabilitation requirement for six months and to attend at 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

The court also ordered forfeiture and destruction of the knife.

Omar Derbal attacked a police constable in Blackpool earlier this month.

The 35-year-old admitted the offence at Lancaster Courthouse.

Following this Derbal, from Blackburn Road, Bolton, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

He was placed on a drug rehabilitation requirement to last for six months and ordered to attend at 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

He was also ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

Kieron Brown used a debut and credit card fraudulently earlier this month.

He bought himself bottles of alcohol and cigarettes with the card.

On the same date he stole a mobile phone worth £90.

The 29-year-old admitted fraud by false representation and theft at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court.

Following this Brown, from Trafford Street, Farnworth, Bolton, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

He was placed on an alcohol treatment programme to last for a year and was ordered to attend 25 rehabilitation activity requirements.

He was ordered to pay £90 in compensation in respect of the theft and £58 in respect of the fraud.
