A Bolton restaurant has been shortlisted for a regional award at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) 2024.

The Awards say they are the most prestigious celebration of Pan Asian cuisine in the UK and winners will be announced on Sunday, October 6 at a ceremony in London.

ARTA rewards excellence, craft, creativity and great taste by bringing the UK’s most prestigious Asian restaurants and chefs together under one roof.

Nominees were chosen based on nominations by customers from across the UK, including over 900,000 customers of ARTA’s strategic partner ChefOnline, Social Media and Food Hygiene Ratings, followed by a final judgement of an esteemed judging panel to crown each region’s Asian excellence.

Bolton restaurant shortlisted for ARTA 2024

The ARTA 2024 shortlisted Top 10 Restaurants and Takeaways in the regional category awards have been revealed with one in Bolton being shortlisted.

Achari is shortlisted for the Regional Restaurant of the Year – North West award.

It is shortlisted for the award alongside a number of other restaurants:

Achari has received praise on Tripadvisor from visitors, earning it a 4.5-star rating from 622 reviews.

Praising the food and service, one customer said: “My friend and I visited this place and we absolutely loved it. The food was excellent along with the exemplary service from Ali.

“Nothing was too much trouble for him. He even went out of his way and made us "pineapple fritters" - lovely! You won't be disappointed going to Achari. Thanks to Ali and staff.”

One customer is glad they tried the restaurant out, saying: “Decided to try a different restaurant than our usual. How glad are we, we did. The service was exemplary, the food was delicious. Will definitely make it one of our regulars.”

Another was pleased they got to eat at Achari, saying: “Three of us called without pre-booking a table. We were greeted by really friendly staff who managed to find us a table even though it was really busy. The food was excellent with good-sized portions and we were given trays to take our left overs home”.
