Steam engines which drove the industrial revolution will be powered up once again this Bank Holiday.
Volunteers at Bolton Steam Museum have rescued and restored 30 historical stationary steams which powered the cotton and woollen mills of the North of England, including five built in Bolton.
Most will be running on Sunday and Monday on August 25 and 26 from 10am to 4pm.

A spokesperson said: "Our oldest engine is now over 180 years old, and most are well over 100 years old.
"Come and see these magnificent examples of Victorian engineering restored and running once again.
"The Museum is normally closed at other times, except for volunteers' working days, Wednesdays & Sundays: 11am to 3pm , when visitors are welcome and a few engines can be run using electric motors."
The museum is located at Mornington Road off Chorley Old Road.
Admission is free but donations are welcome to cover the operating costs.
