Bolton’s Carrs Pasties has revealed their much-anticipated limited edition pasty ahead of this year’s food and drink festival.
2024’s Bolton Food and Drink Festival sees one of the town’s most beloved bakeries unveil a chicken curry pasty, set to be available from Friday, August 23.
Carrs described the latest addition to their menu as “tender pieces of chicken in a rich curry sauce” with “spices wrapped in a golden crust”.
The family-run bakery has been serving Bolton since 1938 and has kept food lovers in the town on their toes by launching several unique pasties over the years.
Last year Carrs unveiled a Wallace and Gromit pasty with four cheeses, including the stop-motion pair’s favourite, Wensleydale cheese.
Carr’s latest addition will be available exclusively on their stall at the festival and in their four shops which are on, Manchester Road, Halliwell Road, Corporation Street and Middlebrook Retail Park.
Other baked goods available on the stall include a meat and potato pasty, cheese pasty, cheese and jalapeno pasty, ham and chill jam pasty, chilli beef pasty, classic vegetable pasty and sausage rolls plus cold drinks.
Bolton Food Festival will run from August 23 to 26, with celebrity chefs Ainsley Harriot, James Martin and Rusty Lee set to entertain at what’s been dubbed the “country’s best festival”.
