A crash took place on a road in Bury earlier this morning, Saturday, with firefighters and police officers called to the incident.
The crash took place on Ainsworth Road close to the junction with Birkdale Drive on the western side of the town close to Ainsworth Road Post Office just before 8am.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing a fire engine with firefighters and a police van with police officers on the scene shortly after the collision.
The car, a black Volkswagen, appeared to have been damaged because of the collision but it is understood that traffic can now pass freely through Ainsworth Road.
No injuries have been reported.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Shortly before 8am this morning, Saturday August 17, one fire engine from Bury Community Fire Station was called to attend a collision involving one vehicle near Ainsworth Road, Bury.

"Crews arrived quickly and worked to make the vehicle and the area safe.
“Firefighters were in attendance for around half an hour.”
In the event of an emergency members of the public have been encouraged to always call 999 as soon as it is safe to do so.
