Police say they are “very concerned” about a missing teenage girl who has links to Bolton, Burnley and Manchester.
The 15-year-old girl, who police have named as “Katelan”, went missing nearly a month ago in Durham on Tuesday, July 23.
Officers searching for the missing teenager say that as well as Bolton, Burnley and Manchester she also has Liverpool, Preston, Bradford, Halifax and Newton Aycliffe.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Turner, from Durham Constabulary said: “It’s been 24 days since anyone has heard from Katelan and we are very concerned for her welfare.
“We believe Katelan may have travelled out of our area using public transport.
“If you can help officers locate her, please contact Durham Constabulary on 999.”
DCI Turner and his colleagues have released a new CCTV image of Katelan in an effort to prompt people who may have seen her to come forward.
