Two men were arrested after police chased a car “suspected to be involved in drug supply”.
Officers reported on Friday evening that they had seen the blue Audi being driven on New Lane in Breightmet on Thursday night.
They gave chase from Tonge Moor and Hall ‘i th’ Wood before stopping two men after the car was abandoned on Eden Street.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “This vehicle has been seized by officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team last night (Thursday).
“Officers sighted the vehicle on New Lane in Breightmet and suspected it to be involved in drug supply.
“The vehicle made off upon seeing the officers and was pursued through Tonge Moor and Hall i’ th’ Wood and was abandoned on Eden Street.
“Two males were detained and enquiries are ongoing.
“The vehicle has been seized under S165a of the Road Traffic Act.”

The arrests came amid a wide ranging week of police action in Bolton aimed at cracking down on suspected criminal activity and providing a visible presence in communities.
