The Peak District is known for its scenic walking routes and quaint villages but have you been to Buxton yet?

If you haven’t, there are lots of things to look forward to including “world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture” and a “vibrant range of music, theatre and festivals”, according to Visit Buxton.

If you’ve picked a day with good weather, you can make your way to Colwyn Bay in Wales and make it a beach day.

As well as the beach, you can head to Eirias Park which boasts a lake, playground, leisure centre and bowling green, according to Visit Conwy’s website.
