A Turton Sixth Form College BTEC student is shifting gears from studying this September, having secured a competitive apprenticeship with the North West Ambulance Service in Bolton.
Molly Summerfield achieved D*, D* (distinction) in her National Extended Diploma in Applied Science and a D (distinction) in Health and Social Care.
Molly said: “My grandad was a paramedic, so I’ve wanted to be work in healthcare since I was young. The pandemic also inspired me to follow my passion.”
Molly, who will undertake her apprenticeship at Edge Hill University, is excited to meet new people in her role, which involves specialist training in ambulance driving, looking after passengers and even life-saving skills.
